My hobbies
To me, perspective is the most fascinating element of art. It gives a piece its form, depth, and meaning. Colour is nothing without perspective—without it, the canvas remains blank. Perspective is everything.
My fascination with its science and beauty began years ago, when I first read Leonardo da Vinci’s Trattato della Pittura in English. I doubted that someone like him could write so simply. So I began learning Italian—to experience his teachings in his own words.
Last summer, for fun and to try something different, I wrote a children’s book about a frog in search of love! Only recently did I manage to get it to music...having discovered the unbelievable power of AI in music—and that launched me into a brand new hobby: songwriting!
It's fun using AI to generate the music. It is a collaboration that allows you to shape the musical style to match the mood and diction of your lyrics perfectly.
I remember the days when you had to change rolls on your camera. You had to be selective and take pictures sparingly… 36 to a roll!
And then the wait… OMG, the torturous wait for them to get developed.
I also remember how miserable it was to get back 36 pitch-black prints.
Ahh, those were the days!
Now, it’s all clickity-click, click, clickity-clickity-click… Photoshop… clickity-click, click, click, click!
